Bend Soap Company Founder Dwight Johnson Dies in Tree Trimming Accident. An accident while cutting trees on January 4, 2025, killed Dwight Johnson, the founder of Bend Soap Company in Bend, Oregon. His wife, Marilee Johnson, shared this unfortunate news in a tribute post on January 6. Dwight was a visionary businessman, a devoted family man, and an important community member. He left behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and new ideas.

While working on a project, Dwight and three of his boys were in an accident. Dwight saw a branch in the way of their work and tried to cut it off. The tree broke off and hit him on the head, which was very sad.

He fell to the ground because of the hit, and even though his family was there right away, Dwight died at the scene. His sudden death has left a huge hole in the lives of his family, friends, and all the people he helped through his life and work.

In 2011, Dwight Johnson started Bend Soap Company to make natural and organic lotions and soaps made from goat milk. One of his kids got eczema, which is when he became interested in natural skin care. Dwight was unhappy with the chemical-filled choices on the market, so he looked for a natural one.

Because of this drive, Bend Soap Company was created to give families safe, effective, and chemical-free skin care goods. The soothing and nourishing properties of the company’s goat milk soap made it very popular very fast. Dwight led Bend Soap Company to success and built a strong customer base.

Dwight ran two businesses: Bend Soap Company and Dwight’s Window Washing. Dwight worked at Dwight’s Window Washing with some of his children and other family members.

Dwight developed his interest in natural and organic goods while working as an independent distributor for GNLD (Neolife) Nutrition. This was before he started his own business. In every part of his life and work, his dedication to health and fitness was clear.

Dwight’s path to becoming an entrepreneur was shaped by his beliefs and life experiences. As a child, he helped run his family’s third-generation glass-decorating business near Los Angeles, where he learned a lot about running a business and making things.

Before moving to Central Oregon, he also worked as a salesperson for pine furniture and weathervanes. Dwight’s work ethic, creativity, and determination were shaped by these different situations, which he used in later projects.

Dwight’s home life was just as full and interesting as his work life. They had a family, worked hard, and had faith in each other. He married Marilee. They were lucky to have ten children: Chance, Burnell, Ty, Quint, Wyatt, Vienna, Royal, Holly, and Victoria of course.

The family lives on a 40-acre farm in Central Oregon and raises goats and other farm animals. Their way of life shows that they care about the environment and being close to nature.

The news of Dwight’s death has hurt his family, friends, and the people he worked for a lot.
